new chick owner (6 babies)

I am the proud owner and first timer of 6 new chicks! 3 Road Island Reds and 3 Plymouth Barred Rocks. I already experienced "pasty butt" and I think I mastered it and fixed it for my one little Rocks. Keeping an eye on them and reading "Raising Chicks for Dummies" LOL....it really helps! The internet and forums are a big help as well. I will be spending a lot of time on your web site. We are building our coop out of an old shed in our back yard. It's almost ready for them. Right now, they are comfortable in our homemade brooder and safe.
