Hi! We’ve ordered day old chicks from a reliable place and I’ve raised chicks before but I still have a few questions. We are getting 15 chicks and they are all the standard size except two Fleur d’uccle bantams. I’ve never had bantams before and am worried that the bigger chicks will hurt them. Am I able to raise them together or do I need to keep them separated? Also do chicks need to go through quarantine when they’re back ready for the coop like older chickens. Thanks in advance! :)

I've raised bantam and large fowl chicks together before and they did not fight at all, but individual cases are different. There could be a problem when the chicks are older and nearing maturity but as babies the same age they should be ok.

I'm somewhat new, on my second flock. When we got the second round in we kept them separated from our original chickens. We did this because the quantity we brought in, their small size and needs. They were a mix of a few breads, but most were the same size. They seemed to do well together for the most part. There were a few smaller ones we lost. We kept them inside the coop until they were old enough to go outside, then we opened the door to a fenced in yard. I know the information isn't much but I think hearing what works for someone may be helpful in some way. Good luck!!
