Hi all!
I have a Brisnea bator. I read on the forums that is a good idea to put a paper towel in it so the kids can get traction. It just busted out 5 mins ago and is trying to stand up but keeps slipping on the goo. It is OK to take him out and put something down for him?
I`m not positive the other 2 eggs are viable anyway as no peeps... One more question, when can I put it under my broody?

Thank you in advance! Yippee I`m a chicken mutter!

I also have a Brinsea and I put that rubber kitchen shelf stuff in mine, worked great!

Yes, get something under his feet asap or your gonna have leg problems. Just a question, why would you incubate the eggs and then put them under a broody? If you give her a chick and she's sitting eggs now, she may leave the eggs IF she takes the chick.

The broody is on 2 eggs that are no good. So it does not matter. I let her sit on them to keep her in her funk for these chicks. I started with 10 eggs in the bator. :(
This is my first time doing this. I have relied on BYC for guidance and everyone has been GREAT! From what I read, you slip the chick under the hen at night?

That's how I do mine, but I also bring the hen inside in case she decides to peck at them, which some will do.
