Oh My! My neighbor just brought me a chick that her friend found in her backyard!

I'm happy to have the chick though!

My guess is that it's a week old. It's a pretty grey color with yellow blotches--any idea what type it could be? It's kinda skinny, but not too bad. My Broody is raising turkey chicks right now but their about 3 or 4 weeks old. Do you think if I waited till evening when she goes into the nest, I could possibly sneak this chick in too? I worry about this chick being lonely, so if this doesn't work I'll run over to the feed store and pick it up some friends.

The spots are actually more yellow than they appear in the pictures, but here she is. Any thoughts on what breed?

Sounds like a good plan to me. How did a chick end up in your neighbor's yard?!

That's not something you hear of every day.

Can't wait for the pictures, she sounds beautiful

I put the chick in with the rest and it seemed way to easy! I just put her underneath my silkie, Alice, and Alice just fluffed up and is sitting on her. Is this normal? Could it be that Alice didn't notice I put another baby under her?
I also was wondering if this is safe--will the poults pick on the new chick?
Thanks

Looks like it may be a Silver Lakenvelder--I'm not totally for sure but that's what it looks like to me--but sure is cute whatever he/she is...UR LUCKY!!!
