New Chick

I have a day old chick, can I have other hens around her and the brooder, or do I need to separate them?

The full grown hens will kill a baby that small. And the chick could die from stress and loneliness if kept completely alone.

They need to be separated. Many times they will ignore the chick if it is with a mother, but on its own it can easily be killed. It also needs another chick to keep it company.
