question.. how do I go about feeding a baby chick who’s with it’s mommy. Do I just separate the chick from the mom? The mom eats layer pellets, but I know the baby can’t eat that. Please help!

Ok awesome! Thank you so much.
Sorry I was in a hurry so I couldn't give you a detailed response lol.

Layer feed for the most part is just so they can lay bigger, better, harder eggs. She doesn't need that while taking care of babies, so the chick feed is perfectly fine for her to eat until the chicks can be on their own. You can even put the whole flock on chick feed for a bit if you need to when you eventually introduce them when they're older.
I think 18 weeks is the earliest you can put chicks on layer feed, but I may be mistaken.
My 2 year old flock has been on starter grower all year because I keep introducing little ones, so there is no rush to get everyone back on Layer or Flock Raiser, whichever you feed. :)

:clap
