Hello all! Mother of two beautiful little girls and we're on our first adventure of raising five black australorps and five guinea hens all from babies, very excited to get them to the house, just head though they won't be in until May...so sad..we are ready for them now! I love this site and am new to the forum world so my first question is can both these birds start off w/ a 24% protein chick starter to spare having to buy two different foods and keep them eating seperatly? I'm hoping to keep them together so they all get along and hope to have them all very friendly and lovable. Thanks!!

from Ohio. So glad you joined. I'm not sure about the protein needs for Guineas but most chick starter is 20%. If you do start at the 24%, I would drop the protein to the 20% after a week.
