New chicken, breed and gender help!

So I went to a farmers market to buy some scraps from the vendors for my birds and I came across a vendor who was selling some birds that clearly looked sickly and not well taken care of. I decided to buy two of them but one of them sadly wasn't strong enough and passed away overnight, the other one seems to be doing better now but out of curiosity I wanted to know what breed/gender this little one is.
(Also yet I have them quarantined, Only thing that's wrong so far is dehydration which is being dealt with via electrolytes and lots of water/shade)

Not sure on breed, but just wanted to say I admire that you saw some sad little birds and bought a couple just to try and give them better lives. I'm sorry that one didn't make it, but little Summer is lucky to blossom under your care.

Mixed breed. Might be something like a Dixie Rainbow if it originally came from a hatchery.

I think it could possibly be a cockerel if it is young, but not sure.

So I took a closer look at him and he's got boring on him like in a barred Rock but it's very faint and only under the wings meaning that he's definitely some kind of mixed breed, he's a sweetheart though
