Hey guys! we are getting ready to get some chickens so we decided to transform our tree house into a coop!! the chicken wire is buried about 6 inches in the ground and skirted outward a little. the ramp is kinda steep if you cant tell so I am a little worried about that. so the hole and ramp is on the opposite side of the nesting boxes and they will be able to run down and do their thing underneath the tree house whenever they want, it is 360 degrees surrounded. any suggestions would be much appreciated!!

nice!

as for the ramp, cut it in half, build a platform where ever that ends up being and turn the other half to go off one of the sides so it's not going down the hill.

really done a nice job on it. One thing you'll see once they start laying, they'll pretty much all use the same box. For 6 chickens you probably only need two of those nest boxes. They sure look good though, LOL

You could put a lid on some of them and use them for storage

That is a great idea! Nicely done. I agree with PapaChaz about the ramp. I would have used hardware cloth instead of chicken wire, any predator will rip through that like it was paper. Hardware cloth is more expensive than chicken wire, but chicken wire is just to keep the chickens out of areas you don't want them in (like your flowerbeds). Hardware cloth is much better protection.

oh boy, we do have raccoon running around so I guess we will have to see. I trap so if I have to I will set some traps out. I will see what I can do with that ramp!
