New Chicken Coop

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

So glad you decided to join us! Greens and chopped veggies make wonderful treats however keep the goodies down to about 10% of the daily diet or about once or twice a day. 2x4s with the 4 side up make perfect roosts, especially in cold weather so the birds can keep their toes under breast feathers avoiding frost bite.

Great to have you aboard BYC!

Hi! :frow Welcome to BYC! Good questions. My chickens love meal worms, and get a few every day. I also use them if I need to herd them for any reason. If I'm carrying meal worms I have to watch where I step because they are all right at my feet. :gig Put any thing in the run as obstacles to duck behind or jump on -- a crate, a chair, a pallet leaned up against the outside of the coop. Be creative.

I agree with Kiki that you need to be careful about introducing new pullets to yours. You don't want to bring in any diseases. When you say pullets, how old are yours? Chicks are much easier to integrate.
