Hello all, I am a fairly new chicken Daddy. I have been a member here for a while now but just now introducing myself. My nickname is Archer1955. I am a Sagittarian and born in early December, 1955. I am inside the city limits of Charlotte, North Carolina. I'll show a pic of my coop in another posting. I have 4 RIR pullets and 9 Golden Comets &/or Tetra Browns (the Golden Comets and Tetra Browns actually all look the same). The RIRs should start laying shortly and the "Golden Girls" will take at least another month. I gave away 6 huge Roos that came with the brood of RIRs - the farmer that I got them from sexed them for me. I had been feeding them the Dumoor 24% starter feed crumbles and now I know who was eating most of the food! I hated getting rid of the Roos but, I do not need a noise complaint from any of my neighbors; I would put those Roos up against any of the hawks that are in my neck of the woods - these guys were big and weren't fully grown yet either!
