(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yup, totally new to owning poultry.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I currently have 6 chickens and 1 duck.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have 2 Australorps, 1 silkie, 1 red sex link, 2 plymouth barred rocks and 1 Magpie duck
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They are just so amazing. Eaxh with their own big personality.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I like to crochet, read and cook
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am currently a stay at home mom to two children. By trade, I am a LVT. Other than the duck and chickens, I have 2 rabbits, 3 geckos, 6 fish, a dog and a cat.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Ive come across BYC a few times while googling info on caring for chickens. And i just realized my searches keep leading me back here so why not join

Have any pictures of your flock, we'd love to see some? Do you plan on getting a few more friends for your duck?

Ducks are quite social creatures, evolving to be with each other 24/7. While you can keep them with chickens, they do not speak the same "language", so, while she may seem OK being with just the chickens, she will be happier with other species she can communicate, and share the same activities with.
