New Chicken "farmers" in Pasco WA

Hi there! WE are brand new to raising our own chickens for eggs. So here we go:

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Just got 3 Barred Rock chicks at two weeks old about a week and a half ago. They are in a large tub in the garage for now while we build the Coop.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 3 - the limit for the city.

(3) What breeds do you have? All Barred Rock

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Web Search

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Radio control sailplanes and aerobatics

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My wife and I have three dog so this should be interesting. The plan is to keep the chickens in the run and not let them free range in the backyard. Our yard is fenced but with the dogs, we believe it best to keep things separated. I am an IT professional an my wife is retired so this is a very different pet for us...hope we keep them alive and happy!
