New chicken has crusty nostrils.

Just picked up this frizzle yesterday. She seemed a little too subdued even for a new chicken so I picked her up and found that her nostrils were crusty. There is no smell, and she seems to be eating. She’s also isolated from the other chickens. Any advice?

The area around her eye seems swollen and there is something yellow at the corner of her beak. So I suggest you take a good look inside her beak for canker or other adhesions.

How old is she and was she vaccinated against Marek's?

She’s about 4 months old and I’m told she was bought from TSC

TSC will get their chicks from hatcheries, and some do vaccinate against Marek's, others do not.

Her eye looks somewhat off to me. Could you post a picture of her other eye, her droppings and the whole pullet showing her posture?

And did you check the inside of her beak already, look down her throat as well.

She sure looks off and her droppings do not look normal, she does not seem to eat enough.

How does she walk, do you notice any limp or unusual motion sequence?

Actually looking closer that’s from a nest pad she has in her box! I got a very brief look at her mouth and didn’t see anything. Nothing unusual about her walk as far as I can tell.

Just took a closer look at her poo and it’s dark green.
