Hi! We finally bought a house and knew chickens were the next step. We bought 12 chicks in late May 2020. 6 White Rocks and 6 NH Reds. We lost one red in the first few weeks but the 11 remaining are healthy and well. They are now 19 weeks and not laying yet. Lessening daylight I'm sure is the contributing factor as well as free ranging and possible egg hiding.
Anyway, we live our birds and couldn't be happier with our future eggs!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
Congratulations on your new home.
You might want to consider not letting the flock out of their coop/run until afternoon to give them a chance to lay in the nest boxes when the time comes. Egg hunts are only fun on Easter.
