I am a wife and mother of two children! We have 9 chickens right now! Cochins, Dominic's, Rhode Island Reds, wynadotts and one other that I can never remember the name of but is one of our sweetest hens! We are new to the chicken keeping but so far we love it!!:)

I am somewhat new here just joined have had a few hens for almost a year and got news chicks this past March, one of them has a fever, nothing is open now and not sure what to give her? Help please!!
 
Welcome! :) I'm a newer chicken momma too :) My first batch was my momma's day gift May 1st (they're 4mos now), the rest were bought June 5th (they're 2 1/2mos now) :) It's pretty awesome huh?!
 
i have a Cochin that I believe has went broody. My question is how many eggs do they lay she is sitting on two eggs that could possibly be hers. I know once they truly go broody they stop laying but both of these eggs sure do look like her eggs and there was a day in between when they where laid. So just looking for some insight from some more experienced chicken mamas !!!
 
My girls lay one egg a day but not every day if she is broody you need to get her off the nest and separate her from the flock for a few days. That usually works on my broody buff rock
