New chicken lover from the Rio Grande Valley

Hello everyone! I just got my first chicks today! They are supposed to be Amerucanas. I recently moved to the Rio grande valley in south Texas. I was previously living in Iowa. We have ten acres at my new house and I have been dying to get my small flock going.

Any and all advice is welcome especially about taming and spoiling my new girls.
