Just started keeping hens, currently up to 7, 3 speckleds, 2 copper marans, 2 RIR. All laying like champs.
Planning to expand our flock with a roo (Speckled) and more hens as well as a trio of silkies as soon as I can locate some for sale. Thus far keeping chickens has been a great hobby and I look forward to learning more!

when you have 20 posts you can participate in the Buy,sell,trade area of BYC. Some breeders thin their flocks before winter, so you may even be able to find some older birds rather than baby chicks.
 
Thanks for the warm welcome. I decided to join after lurking for a long time. I love the wealth of information here. It is nice to know there are other chicken lovers like me!
 
Hi and Welcome! I'm in Frederick, MD. I'm new to chickens this year, my flock is about 13 weeks old. I have 5 Silkies in my mixed bag flock of 13 hens. Love my 'lil feathered fur balls.
 
I just ordered up 10 silkies to add to my flock. They are still tiny chick's, but so adorable! I also keep 3 speckled Sussex hens a speckled rooster, two Rhode Island Reds, two French copper marans and 3 guinea. My yard is never a dull place with all this poultry running around!
