Hey guys, I just registered on here a few minutes ago, I own 4 chickens that are orange, some have white on them no idea what breed they are and we have one rooster thats white. The coop we have is so bad and we really need a new one. It's more like a shed, it's not actually a proper coop, it has a roof made of metal sheets and the walls are made of metal sheets, the floor is made of grey bricks that are square and are falling apart and underneath is all dirt, so it's really dirty in there. Don't really know what I can do about it, have no building experience at all, don't even know how to use a drill! The perch is a wooden panel and the nest boxes are made of up-sized milk crates, with hay in them! They're made of plastic! The water is like a long troff thing, that sits on two bricks on the ground, really quite pathetic. The food is a proper hanger one that hangs to a wooden beam on the ceiling. Don't know how I can fix anything . Not old enough to drive a car, have no money to buy stuff! Lol, poor chickens i reckon. Except for their run! That's really quite big and it has trees and plants in it everywhere but its just dirt, not grass or anything. The chickens are also bred not to sit on their eggs, they're just bred to lay them. I saw the rooster mating with one of the chickens the other day, so the eggs are more than likely fertile, I'm thinking of building an incubator, but that seems like it's not gonna happen, have no stuff to build it or anything, my parents don't wanna help me, they think they wont hatch and its a waste of time!

20 minutes later - Found out a few breeds of chickens and I think mine are most likely red sex links?

The rooster might be a Rhode Island White.

they could be mutts of some sort, im not sure
and for the coop, if you just go buy a play house, that would always work too, the one you have now does seem pretty bad :eek:
we used an old shed, but it was made of wood...it was a yard barn if i remember right
and you can find those at TSC or Rual King
