Have not heard of the golf ball trick - I assume you would put one in the nesting box to make them think it was an egg so they know to lay there? I'll have to try that! I only have one girl laying - and she has laid one EVERY day since she started!

Poultry swap was awesome! Got a white silky (she is SO sweet!

) and 3 mystery chickens - I'll have to post pics to identify. 2 are a pair of cochins, not sure what kind, though. The other is a really neat looking black and white hen.
