Hi there, my name is Suzanne and I have been keeping chickens for about 6 years. I have one of my original flock , aged 6 years, and have recently bought a further 6 chickens, giving me a colourful flock of silkies, hamburgs, rhode islands , and a Sicilian buttercup. I am 44 years old, married and live in Windsor, In the Uk. We started keeping chickens for the eggs ( I bake every day) but after six years they have joined the rest of the family as part of the household . I have always used BYC for advice and guidance since initially getting chickens , never thinking I could be a member . I hope I can gain and share experiences that will help me be a better chicken keeper and to understand the mixture of breeds I now have, as before I kept six Rhode Island reds.
