Hi all! 
My daughters and I got 6 ISA brown chics a few weeks ago. I finally let my girls talk me into getting chickens 
. I had chickens growing up so it’s not really new to me but it’s new to my 2 daughters. We live in Arkansas. Just us 3 and our little zoo. My daughters are 15 and 11. We have 3 dogs, 3 cats, a guinea pig, a bearded dragon, 2 turtles, and now 6 chics. 
We are going to start building our coop and run this weekend. It’s supposed to be nice weather so we are going to take advantage of it. We are suppose to have 6 hens but I have a feeling one just might be a roo. But I’m going to wait a bit longer before I say yay or nay on it being a roo lol. They are growing like crazy. They love my daughters. Hopefully it stays that way. They are all in the goofy looking stage right now. We are enjoying watching them grow. My oldest and I have been doing a lot of research and reading up on things so we can give these little chics a good life. 
I came across this site while googling actually so I figured I would join. I’m always looking to learn something new.
