Hi everyone.. My name is DL and I have a small-ish flock going in my backyard. We have 10 chickens and two turkeys.
3 blond sexlinks, 3 easter eggers, 2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Delaware Blondes...we are beginning to believe that one of our EEs has decided to come out and be a rooster. So much for all hens. lol That's ok. We got them for eggs, and just because. They currently enjoy ruling our back yard. We have about two acres and they seem to like the patio tables the best. The turkey hens have been raised with the chicks and are the same age. They are all one big family.
Plus the rest of our zoo...8 cats (4 aren't mine, they just stay at our place right now) and are inside..., one big black lab who adores the chickens, a baby corn snake, and a juv bearded dragon. Just one big family!
I am sure I'll have a ton of questions, especially with the emergence of our rooster. lol
Peace,
DL
