Hello! I’m a new member to the site and new to chicken raising. We are picking up our chicks in about 2 weeks. Getting things set up for brooding and a coop/run for when they are ready to go outside.

Starting out with 3 hens. We don’t have tons of space so we will be keeping the flock small. Although I’ve heard about “chicken math” LOL

Stumbled upon this site while researching and it looks like a great place to learn. I’ll take any tips you might have for chicken newbies!!

I’m also in the SE PA vicinity and just getting started! We have a batch of 5 week olds and a batch of 1 week old chicks and things are going well. This website has been the best for info, especially the guide on brooding chicks.
