New chicken mama needs help

Hi all. I have this light brahma sweetie who is limping. I noticed it 2 days ago, thought it was maybe just sore. But after 2 days of staying the same I checked it out and found black and pus like spots on one leg. It's swollen and warm to the touch. She's is otherwise in good health and I put some vet rx on it this evening. Figured I'd see if that helps. Does anyone have a clue what it might be? She has no signs of bumble foot either. Thanks for any advice

I don’t know but someone might. All I can suggest is to keep it clean. And maybe some sort of ointment to draw infection out, with it warm there may be a little infection.

Hi there. I have never seen anything like this but it seems like a bite/injury, that got bruised and infected. I would soak in Epson salt with warm water and see if it goes away. Good luck!

My husband said vet bills will not happen, cull if need be. Basically figure out all the health care, husbandry and everything without using vets. So vet is out, I'm willing to take care of what I can to the best of my own ability.

It does look infected. I am not an educator but if she was mine I would treat it just like bumble foot starting w/ some soaks then lets see what they recommend.

Looks like a possible closed break, I’ve seen one just like that. It can’t hurt to wash it and a little antibiotic cream is a good idea.
If she was mine I’d pad the leg and splint it, if so it should heal in 10-14 days
