Hi all!! So excited to be here!! We are new chicken owners and really loving them so far. We have 15 total - 9 ameracauna/Easter egger and 6 golden laced Wyandotte!

So far, i have what seems to be one rooster (8 week old ameraucauna)... I'm going to add the pictures here for you guys. The one on the right.... the one all the way on the left is the same age same breed and same batch so you can clearly tell a difference in size.

Greetings from Kansas, ngurovich, and :welcome! Happy you joined our community! :woot. You sound like a happy chicken owner! If you want to pick up some valuable chicken knowledge, take a look at the vast selection of articles in the Learning Center here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center
And if you'd like to chat with some of your poultry owning "neighbors," find your state thread in the following link and say howdy: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Great to have you aboard! That bird sure could be a rooster! I guess time will tell. Long pointy hackle and tail feathers, legs like tree stumps and of course the ever present Crow will all round out this question.

Good luck with your new flock and we do all welcome you to our roost! :-)

Welcome!

I am swaying towards rooster also on the one on the right hand side but if you would like some more opinions, the folks on the Breed & Gender Forum know their stuff: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share more pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out

Welcome from Va! Hope you enjoy this place as much as I do! I love looking at picture of other flocks! Have fun!

Size difference is not that important yet. The taller bird is showing more comb and the start of wattles. You can also post photos at "What breed or gender is this." Please mention age at time of photo.
