Hi everyone! My name is Kelly. I joined here while back but never got around to introducing myself before.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chicken though I have wanted to for a long time. I got my chicks in May.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I had 8 but lost one at about 3 weeks old. The other 7 are all doing very well.
(3) What breeds do you have? 2 RIRs, 2 BOs, 1 Welsumer and 2 Silver-laced Wyandottes
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? looking online when I first started researching about raising chickens.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Crochet & knitting, reading, travel, yard/garden stuff
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have 3 adult kids who are disabled and still live with me. We have a (mostly outside) cat, a hamster, 2 parakeets and a recently adopted basenji mix dog (lost both of our old dogs in April.)
