New Chicken Mama

1. (1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I am definitely new to the chicken world. I was given 36 chicken eggs, 32 which were viable & 29 hatched 5weeks ago!
   
   (2) How many chickens do you have right now? I gave 10 away, & currently have 19 left. Essentially I'd like a small flock of 8-10. But it is so hard to choose because I love them all!!!
   
   (3) What breeds do you have? I know I have barred rock for sure, but other that I have no idea, maybe mixes? That's actually what brought me here.
   
   (4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? So far how tame & beautiful they are & I find them quite entertaining!
   
   (5) What are some of your other hobbies? Caring for my 4 pups, recently got out of the fish hobby, reading, cake decorating& I'd like to learn more about homesteading.
   
   (6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Well, Ive been married for 6 years this year (2019) , & have 4 dogs, I work for the State of Idaho.
   
   (7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? When I began researching how to hatch chicken eggs, this site came up quite frequently, & now that my chicks are growing I am growing and need to and would like to learn more!

Most definitely, in fact I live in a subdivision so essentially I'd like no roosters, so I need to determine which are which! It's so hard! Lol
