Greetings from Cornwall, UK!
We've had our four girls two weeks as of Saturday. Adopted from the British Hen Welfare Trust and saved from slaughter at the age of 18 months.
We are new to chicken keeping so look forward to getting great advice when needed!

Hi and great you have joined us. I am also from UK years ago
when we had our farm, there was a chicken factory, a few miles away. Someone
told me, they were going to slaughter them. So went down to give a few a home.
First year we got 30 then every year after that, it became more. lol Although i bred
my own, the x battery were special. Within weeks months, to see them all so happy
was so worth it. Of course we had plenty of acres to be able to help them. They were also the best layers of eggs, as well. You will have them laying for you in no time. It is
great you have rescued them. You will be amazed how they will settle with you, as
you have given them a happy safe life. Well done you.
