New chicken mama

hello! My name is Desiree from Pennsylvania and I just recently got chicks! My mom had chickens but I never really paid attention to them. You know all those viral videos of people getting ran after by chickens and pecked at by them, well that’s a perfect depiction of my moms chickens and I.
My fiancé and I recently decided we want chickens and got 4 Sapphire Gems. The next day we went back and got 2 Brahmas, 1 Easter Egger, and another Sapphire Gem. After a mishap, we unfortunately now only have 1 Brahma, 3 Sapphire Gems, and an Injured Sapphire Gem. These little babies make our family so happy and I’m so glad we decided to go ahead and get them!
I joined this page mostly because of my injured chick but also if I’m gonna be a chicken mom I’m definitely going to be spending a lot of time looking into things. Look forward to chatting and learning new things with you all!!
