Hey everyone! My name is Cait, currently living in NC but a born and bred NYer.
My husband decided to get chickens in April and brought home 6 unsexed chicks (2 buff orps and 4 gold laced wyandotte). At the end of May, we got another 4 buff orp chicks and an olive egger. Full house! The first "batch" of chicks are outside and I'm anxious to get the other 5 in the pen too but I'm uneasy letting the younger ones out until they get a bit bigger and we have an idea of how many roos that are out there.
I love that my whole family has been involved with the chickens. It's really been a family event and they've all been named and have become pets.
My husband is medically retired military. I'm a momma to 2 littles (age 5 and 1), dog momma to 2 dogs and a nurse. We enjoy going to the beach!
