Good morning from Upsate NY (about 30 minutes from the Vermont border),
I got my 3 girls about 6 weeks ago. Since i'm new to having chickens i started out with 3 hand raised girls that i've fallen in love with! Hazel is my Isa Brown, she started laying eggs about 2 weeks ago and i have my first dozen eggs. Betsy Boss is my Ameraucana and she is so beautiful! Her silver/gray coloring and her bossy ways keep me laughing on the daily. My black brahma is Miss Mabel and she's still a bit skittish but the other two let me pet them and Hazel likes to be tucked under my arm and carried around. Anyhow, i'm learning as we grow and it's been a very fun experience so far. :)

We also have a cat that can't be bothered with the chickens and vice versa and two Bloodhounds, one of which makes alot of noise and would love to chase them if i gave him the option (i DO NOT!) ha. Nice to meet everyone!
