I am in North Carolina and just got my flock of 16 from someone getting out of the chicken hobby. I am a total newbie trying to learn as much as I can.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am very new to chickens. Only had mine for a few weeks.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
16 - 14 hens and 2 Roosters
(3) What breeds do you have?
Jersey Giants, Rhode island reds, Easter eggers and a few I don't know.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Their personalities
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Embroidery and my silhouette cameo
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a stay at home mom with an amazing husband and 3 kiddos. We have 3 weenie dogs, 2 ducks and now chickens.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I just found NYC from a Google search and am loving it so far.
