New chicken mama

Hi Everyone!

I’m a new chicken mama. This is the first time I’ve ever raised chickens. We have 15 chickens - 3 each of f”the following: Barred Rock, Brown Leghorn, Easter Egger, Rhode Island Red, Sapphire Gem. My favorite aspect do far is when I come outside to see how they are doing. We have one rooster.

In addition to chickens I love gardening, biking, running and swimming.

I work full time as a senior system analyst. I’m married and raise our chickens with my husband. We have 2 dogs.

Just checking on the chickens can be the best part of any day, can't it?

Sounds like a lovely flock; it includes two of the breeds I had when I first got chickens.
