In the Brooder
Hello.
My name is Mija and I have a chicken addiction. I haven't always been this way; I used to be normal (ish). I have always wanted to have a small farm, but I haven't been able to turn that corner yet. So, as for now, I have my little back yard "farm.
I recently bought a house, and we moved in in January. We have put a lot of work into our back yard and our chicken area, and were excited to get some new flock mates. We currently have 3 hens, 2 Buff Orpingtons and 1 Ameraucana (Maggie, Mabel, and Geraldine).
Just this past weekend we added three more ladies (hopefully)... 1 Cuckoo Bluebar, 1 French Black Copper Marans, and 1 cream Legbar. Of course, we are hoping our picker was right, but I'm not going to dwell too much.
I also have 2 kids, my daughter is 2.5 (She says "GOOOOOD MORRRRNING Chickens!" every day), and my son who is 14 and a broody teenager.
Matt and I have been together almost 6 years now. We also have 2 dogs Huck the Puggle, and Henry the Boston.
Anyhow. If you want to learn more about me, I do have a random blog. Since I just bought a house I haven't talked much about the ladies on there yet, but in time, I fear they will take over.
