I’m new to owning chickens and currently have three (hopefully) hens, though one of my buff Orpington crowed a few times this morning 😬. My husband is still building the run so my chickens free range in our fenced yard during the day, taking safety under our deck as needed, and then come inside to sleep in large totes at night. I’m looking forward to them moving to their permanent coop, which my husband made out of pallet wood. Once they move out, I plan to get a few more chicks. So, right now we have two buff orpingtons and a little mystery chicken that I’ll post a pic of. We got her on trade for two ducks that a farmer friend took off our hands when I realized ducks were too much for me to deal with, lol (cute but oh so messy) - impulse buy! If anyone has a guess as to what breed my black and white cutie is I’d appreciate it!
