Hello everyone! I just received my very first chicks in the mail this morning from McMurray (love them!). 27 live peeping fuzzy butts now reside in a box in my kitchen. I think I'm doing everything right. I hope.
I'm sure I'll be here often for advice. My four young daughters are busy coming up with names for our straight run babies and I've warned them that about half of those cuties will make breakfast and the other half will make dinner, so don't get too attached until we can separate the pullets from the cockerels. I have 26 Buff Orpingtons and one little rare that I think is a Silver Spangled Hamburg. Please be a pullet so we don't have to eat you, baby!
Looking forward to getting to know all of you!
