New Chicken Mom Intro & Question

May I suggest, that you remove the access door and attach a covered run there. You don't really need another wall, since you are in Florida. The bump out would give them more room to get off the roosts, as well as more air flow. I leave my coops open to the run 24/7 because it doesn’t get very cold here, it allows the chickens more freedom, and it's less work for me. Water and food can be kept in the covered run and that will leave more floor space and less mess in the coop.
Great idea! I guess my hubby has some more designing to do.

Just talked to the hubby and we’re going to use this little coop and run for the meantime since they are flying out of brooder box and my husband is building an entire new coop himself 😂. We’re thinking something more along the lines of these pictures….

Then we will clean, paint and sell this one to someone with fewer chicks. 🙌🏻 Thanks for all the tips.
