Hi Everyone!
I am a brand new chicken mom and I love it!! I have a Dominique that is 23 weeks old.She was perfectly fine when she went in her run (about 4 weeks ago) the next day she was crossing her legs and falling down. I contacted a Vet and he said she probably has Mariks Disease. All of my chicks were suppose to be vaccinated!! The outcome would ultimately be death. I separated her, she rested, and was able to get to her food and water. In about a week and a half she was up and walking fine. I put her back with the other girls and in a few days was struggling to walk...(she walks on her legs, not feet).........My other girls are not picking on her and all she does is lay in the coop, finds her way to food and water and back to the coop. She has actually taken up residence in the nesting box. My girls get electrolytes in there water everyday, due to excessive heat here. Anyone have any ideas what is going on?? I dont want to cull her, but how do I know if she will recover again?? Help!!

If it’s Mareks she will eventually waste away to nothing. You can either let her suffer or put her down. The choice is yours.
