New chicken mom!

Hello all! Last weekend, after thinking/talking about it for a very long time, my husband and I finally decided to take the leap and buy some chicks from the local farm store. We started off with 3 'Americana Easter Egger' pullets (spelled just like that, not Americauna), 2 Amberlink pullets, and 2 Rhode Island Red pullets. After assembling our new coop, we realized we had room for a few more and got a Black Star (sex-link), 3 Sapphire Gems, and a Welsummer Marans variety. The Welsummer died 2 days later, and when we went to replace her we ended up with 2 chicks called "Starlight Green Eggers". I'm very excited about our new backyard chicken adventure! I've joined this forum to meet others with the same hobby, and so that I can read about and share experiences along the way, as well as be able to ask questions. Glad to be here with all of you!
