How do you easily transport your chickens from inside brooder to outside run without stressing them out?

I usually just carry them out, but my birds are really friendly and I’ve never had more than four chicks at a time so it might not work for you.

Hello, and welcome! I just moved 5 chick's outside to the grow-out pen today from the brooder in the house. I carried them out there one by one, talking to them. They settle down when they realize that you aren't trying to eat them.

Do you currently have any adult chickens using the coop and run? If not, I'd suggest moving them and their heat source out to the coop to finish brooding them. No more need to transport daily!

Welcome to byc! I would just let them get used to you then gently pick them up and transfer them. If you wanted you could get a plastic box and pop them in that so you know they’re safe if you really couldn’t carry them.
