Hello! I recently became the new mom to two Buff Orpington’s, 2 Silverlaced Wyandotte, 2 black sex link pullets, and to Rhode Island Reds. They’re currently about 3 weeks old. My question is this: We suspect one of them may be a baby real roo (SLW), but if not, when and how would be a good time to find a Roo to add to the flock? I’ve heard they need a rooster to keep them in line. Is this true?

Hi, I'm not sure what you mean by "keep them in line" but some people keep a rooster so they'll have fertile eggs to hatch. And a rooster can be helpful in sounding a warning when the flock is in danger.

Hope that helps!
