coop and run is 6x12

What size is just the coop? If the entire area is to serve as the run with a portion of it under the coop, it is still too small for 8 birds. Maybe the entire thing could be converted into the coop and you could build a proper sized run for them.

Hello! My name is Kim and I'm from Kansas. I have 8 almost 4 week old chicks. My first time owning chickens. I'm worried about how to transition them to a coop since it's getting colder. I have eight different types. I am mom of three with a managerie of three kittens, two dogs and two horses and now adding 8 chickens.
