Hey everyone! Thrilled to have a wonderful community of chicken lovers
After being scammed out of $175
, I have been able to find reputable places to get the chick breeds I wanted and have experienced the wild world of chicken math
I now have 4 pullets-one is of laying age.
4-4- week old chicks who are suppose to be pullets
4-2-week old chicks where one might be a roo
and three in the way, one pullet and two roos
Breeds I have include
2 Speckled Sussex
Americauna
Olive Egger
Delaware
Salmon Favorelle
Silver laced Wyandotte
Blue laced Red Wyandotte
2 Lavender Orpingtons (hoping one is a roo?)
Barred Rock
Easter Egger
And the ones on the way are
Black Copper Maran
Lavender Orpington roo
Blue Laced Red Wyandotte roo
I just posted a sexing qt on my lavender Orpington chicks. This whole sexing thing is fascinating as well as egg color breeding, cross breeding, and selling of eggs, chicks, and fertile eggs. Who would have thought
