(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, new to raising chickens but have been around them when younger.
We got our baby chicks in September of 2022.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 7 girls.

(3) What breeds do you have?
Cinnamon Queen, Barred Rock, Golden Laced Wyandotte, Prairie Bluebell, Production Red and 2 Prairie Bluebell Eggers.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They all have different personalities and it's fun watching them interact. Also, their eggs are delicious!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am excited to learn about others experiences with different breeds.
We also have a black lab named Hank and he loves having staring contest with our Barred Rock.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
found the FB Group but did not realize there was a website until googling a question about chickens.

Sounds like a great group of girls -- I love a mixed flock! My accidental house chicken is a Prairie Bluebell Egger and one of the LOUDEST hens in the world.

Congrats on Hank and the Barred Rock getting along well enough to just stare at each other :)!
