New chicken mommy with 8

Hi all, I have been purusing this site for quite sometime until I realized you can actually join!! Yay! You ahve all really helped me out so far. I am from California now living in Texas and bought some great land to start raising my girls. I had no idea what I was in for but so far so good!!! I not only have 8 chickens, they are joined by 3 dogs a cat and my hubby!! Looking forward to meeting you all
