Hello,
I am new to owning chickens. I bought my chicks at the end of April of this year. I have five chickens and two ducks. I have two Isa Browns, one Rhode Island Red, an Americauna, and a Wyandotte. Before I made my selection of chicks, I Googled the different chickens and their ability to stand the cold, if they were good egg layers, and their temperment. That is what led me to BackYard Chickens and I am so glad I found this site. I have learned so many good tips and tricks and just general information on raising chickens. I have two golden retrievers who just love to play with the chickens. The Isa Browns especially love to play with them. My one golden will run up and down the chicken run fence and the Isa's will run up and down with them. So cute! I love this new hobby of mine - not only do they provide eggs for my family, but they put a smile on my face - they're very therapeutic! Here's one of my Isa's that think they're going to go hunting with my husband.
