Hello,
I am a new chicken owner with 4 six month old birds. Our four breeds are Silver Laced Wyandottes, Wheaton Americauna easter egger, Buff orpinton, and a Barred Rock.
We live in the piedmont area of NC in Durham. Currently our birds are not free range as their wings are not clipped and we have two dogs we are working on introduction with. So far so good. Their coop and run is quite large, and can fit up to 40 birds space wise. We feed them organic feed, organic veggie and fruit scraps, scratch grain, and change their water every couple days. We are trying to raise them as healthy as possible and trying to learn as much as we can so they have a happy, healthy, and humane lifestyle!
