New chicken owner: Possibly something caught in chicken's nare?

Hi, I have a color pack (that's what I was told). She is approx 18 weeks old. I've noticed her wiping her beak/nare on things doing what I'm assuming is cleaning it off, but also I see her using her claw/foot to scratch at the same area. I did an inspection as best I could and took some pictures. I do see something black in one nare, but not sure if it's normal. There is no liquid or swelling that I see. She's a timid little gal and possibly at the bottom of the pecking order but seems healthy in all other ways. Any confirmations and or suggestions on what I should do are appreciated.

Laura

Try wiping it off with a damp rag. It could be dirt from dust bathing or she might have inhaled feed dust.
If it doesnt come off, open her mouth and observe for any lesions or anything out of the ordinary. Pay particular attention to the roof of her mouth/upper beak.
While you have her mouth open, smell for a foul odor. Let us know how it turns out.
