new chicken owner

When should my chickens start laying they are 24 weeks. They have laid 3 eggs that was 2 on Tuesday and 1 on Thursday now it is Saturday and nothing.

Pullets typically begin laying from 20-25 weeks; sometimes a little later. You should be getting eggs soon.

So we have gotten 9 eggs so far. But the last 2 have been very soft. What do I need to do? Help

Soft eggs are usually caused by calcium deficiency, so you need to keep a dish of crushed oyster shells by the feed for supplemental calcium. Your hens will eat it as they need it.
